Selle Repente launches new Latus M saddle
www. capovelo.com - Selle Repente has launched its latest lightweight saddle called the Latus M, which features a base and rails constructed from T700 uni-directional carbon, along with a newly shaped profile and relief channel that the Italian brand describes as being “wide but not too wide”.
“Like in the Latus CL (152 mm large) the materials and construction concepts are state-of the-art: from autoclave processing of unidirectional carbon fiber to enhance the mechanical properties of the material to the differential section rail to dose stiffnes and comfort; from the wide anatomical channel to the Eva padding, shaped to ensure adequate support even in the seat tip area and prevent sliding forward. The anatomical channel reaches its maximum depth where this is most useful to help ease pressure on the perineal area. The UD carbon is reinforced by a Twill weave with the overall saddle dimensions being 240mmx142,” explains Selle Repente.
“It is a saddle suitable for both road riders and off road enthusiasts. Its compact size and the shape of the front enhance freedom of movement during pedalling. Its level of finishing highlights Repente’s trademark attention to every detail – a common feature shared by all its products,” Selle Repente adds.
Other features that highlight the Latus M are lightweight EVA foam and a water-based microfiber, PU coating, while colors have been kept to a minimum with black available.
The €218 Latus M is currently being ridden under the auspices of Team Caja Rural – Rga, as well as the elite women’s teams Ceratizit Wnt and Bepink.
