This is the 31st Italian title won by Michele Pittacolo, the first on a Repente saddle. The hi-tech saddles company based in Marostica is technical sponsor of the strong Friulian athlete, winner in Francavilla of the 2018 Italian Paralympic Championship in the individual time trial. He used a Kuma saddle TT version, while in the road bicycles he rides on the Aleena and Comptus models. Pittacolo, world champion in 2011 and 2014 and bronze at the Paralympics in London, fought (and won) against opponents and against pain. Two and a half months ago he suffered the fracture of eight ribs due to a fall and the injury still aches during intense efforts. Now Pittacolo aims at the main goal of this season, the world championship to be held in August in Maniago, that is to say "home".
