Todomountainbike.net - With a wide support surface that is not excessively wide, light, and comfortable enough to satisfy even the most demanding cyclist. This is how the Latus M is presented, the new saddle from the Italian brand Repente, especially aimed at cyclists who prefer a slightly wider fit than traditional saddles, but with a width of 142 mm, one of the most demanded dimensions in wide saddles.

The Latus M is basically a narrower version of the Latus CL, which is 152 mm wide. The saddle's dimensions are 240x142 mm and its weight does not exceed 140 grams, suitable for both road cyclists and Mountain Bike enthusiasts or those who enjoy mixed dirt and asphalt routes.
Like the Latus CL, it has a unidirectional carbon fiber structure with Twill fabric reinforcement, processed in an autoclave to improve the mechanical properties of this material. It also features differential section rails and high-performance EVA foam padding that prevents discomfort and numbness even when pedaling in an aerodynamic position.

The saddle is axially crossed by an anatomical channel whose shape follows the rider's bone profile depending on the pelvic tilt. This channel reaches its maximum depth where it is most useful to help relieve pressure in the perineal area. Seen from the side, the saddle's upper profile features a slight central opening, the purpose of which is to help cyclists maintain the most comfortable riding position by preventing any forward sliding.
The Latus M is one of the Repente saddles chosen by members of the Caja Rural-Rga Professional Team and by the women's teams Ceratizit Wnt and Bepink. It goes on sale for a recommended price of €219, available in black and one size only.
