Triathlonmania.it. Magnet is the ultimate ultralight triathlon/TT saddle. Repente achieved the extraordinary weight of 130 grams by manufacturing the entire structure using an autoclave process. This process makes the carbon more compact and uniform, enhancing the mechanical properties of the material like no other manufacturing process can.
For both the rail and the shell of the Magnet, Repente chose high-modulus unidirectional carbon fibers.
The shape of the Magnet is anatomical and ergonomic, designed to adapt even to the female physique. The wide central anatomical channel ensures seating comfort, especially in the most aerodynamic position, where the width of the nose provides the cyclist with all the necessary support.
Magnet is the result of studies carried out to achieve optimal weight distribution on the saddle surface, promote blood circulation in the pressure points, and thus avoid the annoying sensation of numbness.
The rail with differentiated sections accommodates the varying distribution of forces along the longitudinal and transverse axes of the saddle. The length of the rail allows for an ample range for clamping.
The padding is made of EVA, a high-performance material. The PU cover is coupled with a special grip-effect material, placed at the top, which helps maintain the ideal position even during maximum effort (as if there were... a magnet, hence the saddle's name). The side surfaces in contact with the inner thighs are, however, perfectly smooth.
Repente has paid great attention to the aesthetics of the saddle, in line with the company motto "Cycling is an art". The underside of the base has been embellished with a reproduction of the silhouette of a cyclist in an aerodynamic position.
Magnet is currently official equipment for the Spanish professional team Caja Rural – RGA and the elite women's teams WNT Rotor and BePink.
