Vlad Dascalu, finally Gold!

Vlad Dascalu, finalmente Oro!

Vlad Dascalu is the athlete of the moment. Dario Rodriguez, manager of the Spanish team Brujulabike, bet on him and time is proving him absolutely right. Leaving aside "ordinary" races, suffice it to say that in the first two World Cup events, in Albstadt and Nove Mesto, the Romanian champion achieved second and first place among the Under 23s. He currently wears the World Cup leader's jersey.

In Nove Mesto, Dascalu engaged in a thrilling head-to-head battle with Swiss rider Colombo, which was only resolved in the final few pedal strokes in favor of the Romanian. Bronze went to Andreassen, who finished a mere handful of seconds behind the first two, followed by Nordemann, Culell Estape, Finchman, Blevins, Brandl, Roth, and Lindberg. As of this year, Selle Repente is an official sponsor of the Brujulabike Racing Team. The Italian company has provided the team's athletes with the full carbon saddles Aleena (used by Dascalu and Marinheiro) and Comptus (Tanovic). These are padded full carbon saddles with an extraordinary weight of 130 grams, featuring RLS technology for interchangeable covers.
