Repente and off-road cycling, a mutual love that has lasted for years and is making the Italian brand fly higher and higher. Having archived the past seasons with the world championship and the Under 23 World Cup of Vlad Dascalu, the national titles of Zanotti and Specia, the silver at the Worlds of Zanotti and many other successes, 2023 has brought Repente more satisfactions in Mtb, in Gravel and cyclocross.
Lejla Njemcevic's victory in the UCI Marathon World Cup, elite category, was an amazing achievement. The Bosnian champion, who has been cycling with Repente for years, has completed a path of constant growth with the leadership in the UCI World ranking, the result of hard training and iron determination.
Still in the women's field, we have rejoiced for the success of the Englishwoman Annabel Fisher on a Quasar CR 2.0 saddle in the international Earth Gravel Series circuit, just a few weeks ago. And you know what? We didn't know she had chosen a Repente saddle until we saw a photo of her lifting up her bike on the finish line.
Annabel showed her value with large gaps over her adversaries in grueling trials held in various parts of the world. She was also among the best at the Gravel World Championship in Treviso, finishing in 20th place despite a mechanical accident and a broken foot!
At the Gravel Worlds we also had Cristian Cominelli, a cyclist with 77 appearances in the Italian national team, who has been using the Artax saddle for about a year now.
A long-term partnership links us to Team Nesta MMR, an excellence in Spanish cyclocross, with numerous national titles and participations in the elite World Cup. The partnership also continues with the XCO Sogno Veneto team, which carries in its name the homage to the land where the Repente saddles are born.
"In our range we have saddles that are more suitable than others for off-road riding, but the technologies and ergonomic solutions we employ actually cross all disciplines - says Repente's founder and CEO Massimo Farronato -. Artax and Spyd 3.0 are the most requested off-road saddles, together with Quasar, for those who prefer short and flat saddles. Off-road athletes ask for resistant, light saddles with the right grip, which support them well in the different pedaling positions and allow them to move easily. With their collaboration we have perfected our products and today the best reward is seeing Repente on some of the most prestigious podiums in the world".
