More than any other component of the racing bicycle, the saddle has a structure and architecture that have changed very little over time. Think about it: looking back over the last thirty years, what has changed – not insignificantly, mind you – are the shapes of the shell, the materials used for the frame and padding, but the structural "fundamentals" of this very important bicycle component have almost never been updated.
